Building fire – Millfield - Peterborough

At 8.03pm on Monday (29) one crew from Dogsthorpe and one crew from Stanground were called to a fire on Lincoln Road in Millfield, Peterborough. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a restaurant. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel. They also cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan and checked the area for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera, The building was safely evacuated before crews arrived.

The crew returned to the station by 9.00pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
