On Saturday (29) at 11.10am one crew from Cambridge and the south roaming fire engine were called to a fire on Oyster Row, Abbey Ward.
Crews arrived to find the ground floor of a flat on fire. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters extinguished the fire using one hose reel and one jet before returning to their station by 2.05pm.
One casualty was rescued by the crews and was left in the care of the ambulance crews.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
