Field stubble fire – Chettisham - Fenland

On Sunday (4) at 2.44pm one crew from Ely and one crew from Newmarket in Suffolk were called to a field stubble fire on Lynn Road, Chettisham.

Crews arrived to find 50 x 20 metres of stubble and one bale well alight. Firefighters used two hose reels and farming machinery to extinguish the fire before returning to their stations by 4.10pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
