Building fire – Abbey Ward - Cambridge

On Friday (30) at 4.22am two crews from Cambridge were called to a building fire on Newmarket Road, Romsey Ward.

Crews arrived to find a small fire in a restaurant.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke before returning to their station by 5.40am.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
