Fire in the open - Little Downham - East Cambs

At 11.44am on Friday (13) crews were called to a fire on Ely Road in Little Downham.

Crews from Ely and Cottenham with the south roaming fire engine and a water carrier from Ramsey, along with crews from Newmarket in Suffolk, attended the incident.

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving a large amount of pallets and boxes, which was spreading to a nearby barn. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and jets and returned to their stations by 4pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
