House fire – Stuntney - East Cambs

At 12.53pm on Saturday (25) crews were called to a fire on Steward Close in Stuntney.

Crews from Soham, Ely and Burwell, along with Newmarket in Suffolk, attended the incident.

Firefighters arrived to find a well developed fire at the rear of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The crews returned to their stations by 7pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
