Flat fire - Welland - Peterborough

On Sunday (10) at 4.18am one crew from Stanground, one crew from Dogsthorpe and one crew from Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade were called to a flat fire on Redmile Walk, Welland.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel and jet to extinguish the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

All persons were accounted for.

All crews returned to their stations by 6am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
