Building fire - Chatteris - Fenland

On Tuesday (16) at 3.53am, one crew from Sutton, one crew from Manea, one crew from Chatteris and one crew from Ramsey were called to a building fire on Doddington Road, Chatteris.

Crews arrived to find a fire in a room above a workshop.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used one hose reel and one jet to extinguish the fire. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.

Two casualties were out of the building on arrival.

Crews returned to their stations by 6.30am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
