Fire in the open – Somersham - Huntingdonshire

At 1.44pm on Friday (26) crews from Chatteris and Huntingdon were called to a fire on Dunkirk Drove in Somersham.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the open involving around half an acre of standing crop. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 4.15pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
