Van fire – Soke Parkway - Peterborough

At 2.34pm on Saturday (4) crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to a fire on the A47 Soke Parkway.

Firefighters arrived to find a van on fire on the eastbound carriageway near Bretton. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their stations by 3.50pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
