Flat fire – Arbury - Cambridge

At 9.19am on Monday (13) crews from Cambridge, Cottenham and Ely were called to a fire on Histon Road in Arbury, Cambridge.

Firefighters arrived to find a involving a flat in a two storey building. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and a jet. They also cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

Two casualties required treatment for smoke inhalation at the scene.

The crews returned to their stations by 12.40pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
