Garage fire – Trumpington - Cambridge

At 7.43am on Saturday (18) crews from Cambridge, Cottenham and Linton were called to a fire on Chaucer Road in Trumpington, Cambridge.
Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving a large garage that was spreading to a nearby house and garden. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and a jet. They returned to their stations by 11.45am.

Station Commander Ben Fawcitt, the officer in charge of the incident, said: “The fast actions of the crews got the fire under control quickly. This made sure it didn't spread to other properties. The residents were obviously very pleased and praised the crews for their response.”
