Silo fire – Linton - South Cambs

At 2.01am on Friday (24) crews from Linton and Sawston were called to a fire on Cambridge Road in Linton.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a conveyor belt in a silo grain store. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their stations by 5.50am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
