Flat fire - Romsey ward - Cambridge

On Sunday (27) at 9.45am, crews were called to a fire on Mill Road in Cambridge. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a flat, which they extinguished using a hose reel. They also cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. 

The property was evacuated when crews arrived. A male casualty was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene and left in the care of ambulance crews. 

The crews returned to their station by 10.40am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
