Chimney fire – Bluntisham - Huntingdonshire

At 4.39pm on Friday (30) a crew from Huntingdon was called to a fire on East Street in Bluntisham.
Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a chimney in a house and extinguished it. They returned to their station by 6.45pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
A fire service spokesman said: “Please ensure that you get your chimney swept and brick work inspected at least once a year, preferably before lighting it when the cold weather arrives. This will help to prevent a chimney fire.”
