House fire – Millfield - Peterborough

At 6.44pm on Saturday (31) crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to a fire on Highbury Street in Millfield, Peterborough.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. The crews returned to their stations by 7.55pm.

The house was evacuated when the crews arrived.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
