Lorry fire –Ely - East Cambs

At 9.16am on Friday (31) crews from Ely and Littleport were called to a fire on Downham Road in Ely.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a lorry carrying shredded paper. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their station by 11.10am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
