House fire - Hemingford Grey - Huntingdonshire

On Wednesday (24) at 6.30am, two crews from Huntingdon were called to a house fire on Lea Road, Hemingford Grey.

Crews arrived to find a fire in the kitchen. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews returned to their stations by 8.45am.
