Vehicle fire - Six Mile Bottom - South Cambs

On Wednesday (26) at 2.08pm, one crew from Cambridge and one crew from Newmarket (Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service) were called to a vehicle fire on Wilbraham Road, Six Mile Bottom.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used two hose reel jets and a dry powder extinguisher to put the fire out and prevent further spread.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews returned to their station by 4pm.
