House fire - Swaffham Bulbeck - East Cambs

On Thursday (24) at 12.43pm, two crews from Cambridge, the south roaming fire engine, and two crews from Newmarket (Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service) were called to a house fire on Maryland Avenue, Swaffham Bulbeck.

Crews arrived to find a fire in the loft of a bungalow.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews returned to their station by 4pm.
