Fire in the open – Manea - Fenland

At 12.33pm on Saturday (26) a crew from Chatteris was called to a fire on Station Road in Manea.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a large area of peat well alight. They extinguished it using a hose reel and a jet and returned to their station by 2.45pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
