Flat fire – Huntingdon - Huntingdonshire

At 2.12pm on Thursday (1) crews from Huntingdon were called to a fire on Brampton Road in Huntingdon. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a flat. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.  

A male casualty was treated for smoke inhalation and left in the care of ambulance crews.  

The crews returned to their station by 3pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
