House fire – Burwell - East Cambs

At 6.32pm on Wednesday (21) a crew from Soham, along with crews from Newmarket in Suffolk, were called to a fire on Ness Road in Burwell.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and a jet. A male casualty was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.  

The crews returned to their stations by 8.20pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
