Car fire - Westwood - Peterborough

The driver training fire engine passed a car on fire on Gresley Way. The driving instructor called Fire Control to send a fire engine but while waiting the firefighter undergoing driving training used a hose reel to put water on the flames. They then handed over to a crew from Dogsthorpe who arrived a short time later. The car was made safe and the crew left just after 1pm. The cause was accidental, mechanical fault.
