Fire in the open - Waterbeach - South Cambs

On Saturday (28) at 2.42pm, two crews from Cambridge were called to a fire in the open on Cambridge Road, Waterbeach.

Crews arrived to find a straw stack fire and surrounding stubble well alight. Firefighters used a hose reel, along with drags and beaters to get the fire under control. The fire was reinspected later in the day.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
