House fire - Gunthorpe - Peterborough

On Saturday (28) at 8.38pm crews were called to reports of a house fire on Swale Avenue, Gunthorpe.

Firefighters from Dogsthorpe, Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade and Stanground attended.

Firefighters rescued one person from the home and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

One casualty was treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews returned to their stations by 9.50pm.
