Fire in the open - Yaxley - Huntingdonshire

On Monday (30) at 10.06am, one crew from Stanground, one crew from Yaxley and the water carrier from Ramsey were called to a fire in the open on Askews Lane, Yaxley.

Crews arrived to find a fire at an allotment, where a bonfire had spread to an area of peat.

Firefighters used small gear and a hose reel to extinguish the fire and dampen down the area.

The fire was reinspected later in the day.
