Van fire – A1 - Huntingdonshire

At 3.31am on Saturday (20) crews from Yaxley, Stanground and the Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade were called to a fire on the A1.  

Firefighters arrived to find a van on its side well alight on the northbound carriageway near Norman Cross. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their stations by 4.30am.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
