Shed fire - Mepal - Fenland

On Tuesday (18) at 9.18am, one crew from Ely and one crew from Chatteris were called to a shed fire on New Road, Mepal.

Crews arrived to find a shed on fire that had spread to an outbuilding and a fence.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews returned to their stations by 11.45am, before returning to inspect the area later in the afternoon.
