Boat rescue – Wilburton - East Cambs

At 2.37pm on Monday (31) crews from Ely, Cambridge and Huntingdon were called to an incident at Twenty Pence Marina in Wilburton. 

Firefighters arrived to find a grounded boat away from the riverbank, with two adults and a dog stranded. Wearing specialist kit they safely rescued the casualties using an inflatable sled.  

The crews returned to their stations by 5pm.
