Fire in the open - Fordham - East Cambs

On Thursday (31) at 4.36pm one crew from Soham and a crew and a water carrier from Newmarket (Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service) were called to a fire in the open on Larkhall Road, Fordham.

Crews arrived to find a bonfire had spread to trees and pallets, along with farm machinery and trailers. Firefighters used hose reels and jets to extinguish the fire, before dampening down the area and returning to stations by 7.45pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
