House fire - Longstanton - South Cambs

On Friday (8) at 12.51pm, crews from Cambridge, the south roaming fire engine and a crew from Cottenham were called to a house fire on Brookfield Drive, Longstanton.

Crews arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a property, which had led to severe smoke throughout the property. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters extinguished the fire using hose reels and a jet.

Casualties were treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
