Barn fire - Great Stukeley - Huntingdonshire

On Wednesday (13) at 3.54pm, crews from Huntingdon and St Neots were called to a barn fire on Ermine Street, Great Stukeley.

When the first crew arrived they were faced with a fully developed barn fire, and requested the water carrier from Ramsey.

The barn contained 30 tonnes of straw and numerous farm assets. Crews worked hard to stop the fire from spreading further using hose reel jets.

Firefighters left the area at around 6.40pm and maintained a watching brief overnight.
