Flat fire – Market ward - Cambridge

At 1.40pm on Tuesday (24) crews from Cambridge were called to a fire on Newmarket Road in Market ward, Cambridge.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a first floor flat. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and a jet and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.  

The crews returned to their station by 3.15pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
