House fire – Eastgate - Peterborough

At 10.10am on Tuesday (31) crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to a fire on Cavendish Street in Eastgate, Peterborough.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a first floor flat. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel. They returned to their stations by 11.10am.  

The building was evacuated when crews arrived. A female casualty required first aid and was left in the care of ambulance crews.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
