Road traffic collision – A47 - Fenland

At 11.54pm on Saturday (11) crews from March, Thorney and Wisbech were called to a road traffic collision on the A47 near Thorney Toll. 

Firefighters arrived to find a collision involving a car and a van. Using specialist cutting equipment they released three casualties who were left in the care of ambulance crews. Two casualties were out of their vehicle when crews arrived.  

One casualty sadly dies at the scene.  

The crews returned to their stations by 2.50am.
