Fire in the open - Kings Dyke - Peterborough

On Friday (17) at 5.45pm, crews were called to a fire in the open on Funthams Lane, Kings Dyke.

Crews arrived to find a fire in a field that was difficult to access.

A Service drone was used to assist with locating the fire, while a boat was used to ferry firefighters and equipment to the location.

Once located, firefighters used a light portable pump and jets to extinguish the fire.

The area was reinspected the following morning.
