Fire in the open - Mepal - Fenland

On Monday (4) at 10.26am a crew from Ely and a crew from Chatteris were called to a fire in the open on River Close, Mepal.

Crews arrived to find a fire in a tree and shrubbery. Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, before returning to their station by 11.30am.

The cause of the fire was unknown.
