Fire in the open – Abbotsley - Huntingdonshire

At 4.04pm on Tuesday (19) crews from Huntingdon and St Neots, along with a crew from Potton in Bedfordshire, were called to a fire on the B1040 near Abbotsley. 

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving a large area of wood and standing crop. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their station by 8.30pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
