Fire in the open – A505 - South Cambs

At 2.50pm on Wednesday (20) crews from Sawston and Cambridge, along with crews from Royston in Hertfordshire and Newmarket in Suffolk, were called to a fire on the A505. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a stack spreading to fields. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 9pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
