Fire in the open – Sawtry - Huntingdonshire

At 6.13pm on Friday (22) crews from Huntingdon, Stanground and Ramsey were called to a fire on Woodwalton Lane in Sawtry. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a 500 tonne fallen stack that was spreading to crops. They extinguished the fire and returned to their stations by 10.30.  

Crews regularly inspected the scene throughout the night to ensure the scene was safe.
