Fire in the open – Thorney - Peterborough

At 6.41pm on Sunday (24) crews were called to a fire on Archers Drove in Thorney.  

Crews from Thorney, Dogsthorpe and Stanground, along with a crew from Crowland in Lincolnshire, attended the incident.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a field spreading to around 35 acres. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 9pm.
