Fire in the open – Turves - Fenland

At 7.50am on Sunday (24) a crew from Whittlesey was called to a fire on March Road in Turves. 

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving grass and bushes along a railway line. They extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their station by 9.10am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
