Car fire – A1 - Huntingdonshire

At 1.41pm on Tuesday (26) crews from Yaxley and Whittlesey were called to a fire on the A1 near junction 17. 

Firefighters arrived to find a car well alight on a slip road with the fire spreading to a grass verge. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their stations by 2.55pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
