House fire – Longstanton - South Cambs

At 1.06pm on Wednesday (27) crews from Cambridge and Cottenham were called to a fire on Rampton Drift in Longstanton.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.  

The crews returned to their stations by 3pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
