House fire - Cambourne - South Cambs

On Tuesday (2) at 2.01am, crews were called to a house fire on High Street Cambourne.

Crews from Cambridge, Cottenham, Gamlingay, St Neots, Huntingdon, Cambourne attended. An aerial appliance from Bedfordshire also attended, along with the incident command unit from Huntingdon.

Firefighters arrived to find a shed well alight and spreading to a house.

Firefighters worked in sectors to get the fire under control and extinguish the fire. Five cats were rescued from the property.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

All crews returned to their stations by 5.10am.

The crew from Cottenham reinspected the incident the following morning.
