Field fire - Flag Fen - Peterborough

On Thursday (4) at 12.05pm, crews from Dogsthorpe, Stanground, Yaxley and Whittlesey were called to a field fire on Northey Road, Flag Fen.

Firefighters arrived to find a field of crop alight. Using beaters and hose reels, firefighters extinguished the fire, before returning to their stations by 2.40pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
