Fire in the open – March - Fenland

At 2.13pm on Friday (5) crews from March, Chatteris and Wisbech, along with the water carrier from Ramsey, were called to a fire on Creek Road in March. 

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving a stack of logs spreading to pallets and grassland. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and jets and returned to their stations by 7.30pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
