Fire in the open – Longthorpe - Peterborough

Firefighter tackles fire in the open in PeterboroughAt 5.06pm on Tuesday (9) a crew from Dogsthorpe was called to a fire at Thorpe Meadows in Longthorpe, Peterborough. 

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire in the open, measuring around 30 by 50 metres. They extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their station by 6.45pm. 

The cause of the fire was deliberate. Anyone with information should contact police by visiting www.cambs.police.uk to submit an online report or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
