Stack fire – Over - South Cambs

At 10pm on Tuesday (9) a crew from Cottenham was called to a fire on Overcote Road in Over. 

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving around 400 tonnes of baled straw spreading to nearby hedges.  

Crews maintained a presence at the incident throughout the night and following day to dampen the area and ensure the fire didn’t spread further while it was burning out.
